The King’s Observatory Tour

For the first time ever, the King’s Observatory is opening to the public for a limited period between 20th February and 29th March inclusive – weekdays only.

Tour times are 10.00hrs, 11.30hrs, 13.00hrs, 14.30hrs and 16.00hrs.  The charge is £15.00 per person with a 50% discount for senior citizens, students and children under 16.

Description

  • No refreshments are available on the premises.
  • All users of the driveway through the golf course are asked to respect the rules of golf and give way to all players.
  • No facilities for wheel-chaired handicapped to visit the cupola. Otherwise welcome.
  • All tours will be accompanied by a guide.
  • Bus No. 490 operates between Heathrow Terminal 5 to Pools-on-the-Park.
  • Train by District Line Underground to Richmond Station – Main Line Railway Waterloo-to-Reading.
  • Walking distance to the King’s Observatory from the station is approx. 15 minutes and from the Pools-in-the-Park approx. 10 minutes. The property can also be reached by bicycle or private car.
  • Access is off the A316 to the private drive that leads past the Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club.
  • Free car-parking available.
